How does Souvenit create custom illustrations from a photograph?
Souvenit uses vision modeling guided by human artists to translate your child's real facial features, eye shape, and smile into curated illustration styles across a 40-page storybook. Rather than pasting a name onto a generic cartoon avatar, each illustration is created to authentically reflect your child.
What do I see before payment?
You can read finished sample books online and review the personalization details, photo, dedication, and options you entered in the creator before checkout. The personalized edition is crafted and printed after your order is confirmed.
Can I review my details before ordering?
Yes. The creator wizard includes a dedicated review step before checkout where you can check and update the child's name, age, dedication, language, and photo. This ensures all details match exactly what you want printed.
What age ranges are Souvenit books written for?
Our editions are written for children ages 0 through 8 years old. We offer gentle nursery keepsakes such as 'Welcome to the World' for babies and toddlers, interactive growth stories like 'It's Okay to Feel Big' for preschoolers (ages 3–5), and adventure stories such as 'The Brave' for early readers (ages 6–8).
Which Souvenit editions are best for preschool and anxiety transitions?
For goodbyes, first milestones, and starting preschool or kindergarten, 'The Brave' is our most popular edition, showing a child finding courage step by step. For bedtime routines and everyday fears, 'The Worry Worry Bug' and 'It's Okay to Feel Big' provide gentle story-led conversation starters.

What kind of photograph works best for my custom book?
A clear, well-lit smartphone photo taken straight on at your child's eye level works best. Natural daylight near a window, a relaxed natural expression, and a clear view of the face and hair produce the best illustration results. Avoid heavy sunglasses, hats, dark shadows, or beauty filters.
What if my only photo has low lighting or a cluttered background?
Our artistic pipeline isolates your child and removes background clutter. While well-lit photos produce the cleanest results, slightly dim indoor photos can work as long as facial features and hair are clearly discernible.
Is it safe to upload my child's photo to Souvenit?
Yes. Family privacy is our top priority. Uploaded photographs are transmitted over encrypted TLS connections and stored in private cloud infrastructure. Photos are used solely to generate your custom storybook order and are never sold or made publicly accessible.
Do you use uploaded family photos to train public AI models?
No. Souvenit maintains a strict zero-training policy on customer-uploaded photos. Your family photographs and illustrations are never added to public machine-learning datasets, never used to train generalized foundation models, and never repurposed for third-party research.
How can I request deletion of my uploaded photos?
You maintain control over your personal data. You can request deletion of your uploaded photos at any time by emailing privacy@sovenit.com. Our team will delete your images from storage in accordance with our data privacy policy.

What distinct art styles can I choose from?
Souvenit offers four curated art styles: Watercolor (gentle painterly washes with soft nostalgic tones), Classic Storybook (traditional gouache picture book textures), Comic (bold graphic line work with dynamic panels), and Anime (vibrant, expressive Japanese animation aesthetics).
Can I include two people in the same personalized book?
Yes! In 'The Team-Up', our dual-character edition, you can personalize two characters together—such as a child with a parent, grandparent, sibling, or family member. You provide details and photos for both, and both star together in the story.
Can I customize the child's name, age, and dedication message?
Yes. Every Souvenit book lets you customize the child's name, age, pronouns, and an optional custom dedication message (up to 280 characters) printed on the opening page as a treasured keepsake.
What languages are supported for the story text?
Souvenit currently supports seven languages for the story text: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Arabic (with right-to-left typography support). You select your preferred story language directly in the creator during personalization.
Can I try multiple art styles for the same child?
Yes. Finished sample books in Watercolor, Classic Storybook, Comic, and Anime are available to explore so you can compare the different aesthetics before choosing your edition.

Your $39.90 purchase includes a custom-manufactured 8×8 inches (20×20 cm), 40-page casebound hardcover printed on FSC-certified 170 GSM coated silk paper with your child's portrait illustrations and custom dedication. The digital edition is included as well.
What are the physical dimensions and specifications of the hardcover?
Every Souvenit physical book is manufactured as an archival 8×8 inches (20×20 cm) square casebound hardcover. It features 40 full-color interior pages and a protective finish designed for everyday family reading.
What paper stock and binding are used?
We print on premium FSC-certified 170 GSM coated silk paper. This heavyweight, FSC-certified paper stock delivers color vibrancy and zero show-through across all 40 full-color pages. Bound as a durable square casebound hardcover, it is designed for repeated bedtime handling.
Are the inks and printing materials child-safe?
Yes. All Souvenit books are printed using non-toxic, child-safe inks on acid-free, FSC-certified paper sourced from sustainably managed forests, meeting picture book quality and safety standards.

How long does printing and manufacturing take?
Because each keepsake is individually manufactured and inspected, production takes 3–5 business days. Your personalized 40-page artwork is printed on FSC-certified 170 GSM coated silk paper, casebound, and safely packaged for dispatch.
What are your shipping times and delivery options?
Standard delivery is $6.45 and is estimated at 5 to 8 business days. Fast delivery is $24.10 and is estimated at 2 to 4 business days. The exact method and address are confirmed at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. In addition to US standard and fast delivery, shipping is available to the United Kingdom, European Union, and other international destinations. Exact carrier rates and delivery estimates are quoted at checkout before payment.
How can I track my package once it has shipped?
As soon as your book finishes production and leaves the print facility, you will receive an automated dispatch email containing your courier tracking number and real-time tracking link.
How are books packaged to prevent damage in transit?
Every Souvenit hardcover book is wrapped in protective moisture-resistant film and packed inside heavy-duty, reinforced corrugated cardboard mailers featuring corner protection to prevent transit damage.
Can I send a personalized book directly to a recipient as a gift?
Yes! You can enter the recipient's delivery address directly at checkout. We never include invoice pricing or billing totals inside the parcel. Your custom dedication printed on the opening page ensures the recipient knows who gave the gift.

What is Souvenit's reprint and guarantee policy?
We offer a 30-day reprint guarantee. If your book arrives with any print defect, binding flaw, or transit damage, simply email help@sovenit.com with photos of the issue within 30 days of delivery, and we will arrange replacement support.
What should I do if my book arrives damaged or misprinted?
If your book suffers shipping damage, printing flaws, or binding blemishes, contact our customer support team within 30 days of delivery at help@sovenit.com. Please include your order number and clear photos of the issue.
Can I modify or cancel my order after payment?
Because personalized orders enter production quickly, cancellations or text edits must be requested promptly after placing your order. Please email help@sovenit.com immediately with your order ID, and our team will pause production if the book has not yet reached press.
