1. Information We Collect

• •Account & contact information: your name, email address, and password if you create an account.
• •Order & payment information: shipping address and order history. Card details are entered directly into our payment processor (Stripe) and never touch our servers.
• •Child profile & photo data: the child's first name, age, and any dedication or story details a parent enters, plus the photo used to illustrate the book. This category is covered in full detail — retention windows, deletion, and AI-training exclusions — in our Photo Privacy Commitment.
• •Usage & device data: pages visited, general location (from IP address), browser type, and similar analytics collected automatically via cookies — see §5.

2. How We Use Information

We use this information to generate and deliver your book preview and print order, process payment, provide customer support, send order and shipping updates, improve the site, and — only if you have opted in — send marketing emails about new editions or offers. We do not sell personal information.

3. Who We Share It With

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Souvenit, each bound by their own confidentiality and data-protection obligations:

• •Payment processing — Stripe, to securely charge your order.
• •Illustration generation — our AI image-generation provider, used solely to render your book's artwork from the photo and details you supply.
• •Print & fulfillment — our print partner, to manufacture and ship the physical hardcover.
• •Email & analytics — providers that send transactional email and help us understand site usage in aggregate.

We do not share personal data with data brokers or advertisers, and we never sell a child's photo or profile information.

4. Children's Privacy

Souvenit is a service for parents and legal guardians, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child, and every child profile or photo on the platform is entered by the parent or guardian who controls that account. If you believe a child has provided us information directly without a parent's involvement, contact privacy@sovenit.com and we will delete it.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your cart, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent checkout from working.

6. Data Retention

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet tax and accounting obligations. Photo and child-profile retention follows the shorter, specific schedule in our Photo Privacy Commitment.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@sovenit.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. International Transfers

Souvenit and the service providers listed in §3 may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect data transferred internationally.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required by law, notify you directly.
